Your Voting Options

    Vote Online

    Use the online form to have students select their favourite book.

    Votes will be submitted electronically to the Awards Convenor.

    To submit votes in bulk:
    1. Download the Voting Spreadsheet.
    2. Enter all the votes accordingly
    3. Email to answers@yabba.org.au by the closing date.

Award Categories

  • Young children reading a picture story book for the YABBA Awards.

    Picture Story Books

    A book in the Picture Book genre.

  • Primary school aged children reading books for the YABBA Fiction for Younger Readers Awards.

    Fiction for Younger Readers

    A fiction book aimed at students in the early stages of reading, typically children in the middle of primary school.

  • A group of older children reading books for the YABBA Fiction for Older Readers Awards.

    Fiction for Older Readers

    A fiction book for students that are independent readers, typically students in the upper years of primary school.

  • A teenage girl reading a fiction novel for the YABBA secondary school book awards.

    Fiction for Years 7-9

    Fiction books for students in the first few years of secondary school.

Voting is the key to the YABBA program. 

The YABBA Awards are all about having students reward their favourite Australian book.  Ensure that the children in your environment reward a single book that is first published in Australia during the past 10 years.
